Azubuike Michael Egwu professionally known as ZUBBY MICHAEL was born on the 1st of February 1985 in Okwusigo local government area in Anambra state Nigeria but grew up in Adamawa where he completed his elementary education. He attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University where he obtained a degree in mass communication.

On 25 November 2019, he was appointed into a political position as the special adviser on media to the Anambra state governor Willie Obiano. He was awarded a certificate of recognition for his contribution to the city radio 89.7 FM youth empowerment Initiative in Anambra state.

He is a Nigerian film actor and movie producer, Zubby Michael is a famous Nollywood actor, model, television personality, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He’s best known for playing a criminal, villain, and hitman roles in movies alongside Emma Ehumadu, Sylvester Madu, Junior Pope, Jim Iyke, and Gentle jack. He started acting at a very tender age of 8 years old and performed at children’s stage drama during his primary school days. His first appearance was in a movie titled missing rib. But made known for the three widows where he played the lead role.

In 2006, Zubby Michael joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and acted in his first movie “the three widows” Alongside popular Nollywood actress Oge Okoye. In 2006 he rose to fame after acting in Nollywood blockbuster movies “the general” And “royal storm” Alongside Jim Iyke, Sylvester Madu, junior Pope, Odonnwodo, and Uche jumbo.

Zubby Michael became a mega superstar after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movies “princess Rihanna” and “implication” A movie that gave him a nomination for best actor in a supporting role at the Africa magic viewers choice Awards, he has the ability to feature in any role but prefers to feature in action movies. He has won several awards which includes the most promising actor in Nigeria at the city people entertainment awards, the best actor of the year at Africa movie academy.
