Hy! How is the lock down over there?

I listened to the re-run of DEMOCRACY TODAY on AIT NIGERIA and I would like to share the lessons I learned and add up some cool points for us all to keep us safe.

1. PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND SOCIAL DISTANCING

Physical distancing

This is a form of distancing where you stay away from loved ones and family until the whole issue is solved!

No hugs!

No Handshakes!

Maintain at least 2.5meters distance if need be for you to interact with people face to face, you don’t know who is sick.

Social distancing

This isn’t in the form of staying away from social media.

Please call, text, video chat your family and friends

Check up on people using technology.

Social distancing involves keeping away from social gatherings, No parties, No formal or informal meetings, Religious gathering are suspended till further notice.

2. PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Avoid using Sanitizers prior to handling kitchen equipment, Appliances, and Gas cylinders too!

Sanitizers are mostly Alcohol based!

Soap and water is safer and cheaper too!

Please stay safe in your house.

3. GOVERNMENT POLICIES AND TASK FORCES

The government should please suspend Taxes; VAT, there should be real tax justice and they should reduce Fuel prices to #70.

The poor people uses kerosene so the price should be reduced to #50.

This will help the poor people to cook.

Also the government is trying all possible best to keep us safe!

The lockdown is for our safety!

Stay at home and avoid being abused by the Forces.

Special shout out to all the medical teams!

We are proud of you!

4. LIVELIHOOD AND DATA

A lot of businesses has shut down!

A lot of people keep complaining that their livelihood depends on their daily income.

And the need to help the masses of the poor arises!

Hunger is real my dear!

Listening to that program….

The likes of the data of the Labour congress, the pensioners and that of the civil Servants can easily be gotten.

But my father said and I quote;

This is a developing country!

The CDA has our data’s.

The community development association is the only group that knows the number of houses and number of people living in your house.

From the Community Development Association to the Community Development council to the Group chairman…..

Gradually all these data get to the State Level from each Local Government.

If we decide to use the data of the Labour Congress and the likes,

This money would not get to the poorest people in each community!

Most Salary Earners have Savings and or investments that they can survive on till the Pandemic is over.

Some grocery stores are still operating and you can order and get it delivered to the less privileged and our loved ones.

Finally! The lock down is for our own good!

We have to prevent the spread of this deadly virus and Pray!

Dear Reader,

Fully trust God and Do all you can to stay Safe!

Feel free to share your thoughts with me in the comment section.

                                In Love,Peace and Light!
