That finally this was it,
I wasn’t falling for you anymore,
I had had enough of your bullshit.

That I had finally quit,
I wasn’t waiting around for you anymore,
I had had enough of you breaking my heart.

And yet try as hard as I may,
And though I really really don’t want to,
There’s this force of attraction,
That keeps pulling me to you.
Even though I try to will it away,
And this feeling I really want to put an end to,
It’s like I can do nothing about these emotions.
No matter how much I want to get rid of them,
I find myself falling for you over and over again.

Time after time, day after day,
I stand only to be swept off my feet,
I try to run away,
Only to find myself right back where I started.
How do you do it? I wonder,
How do you make me stay even when I want to leave?
How is my heart more loyal to you than to its owner?
How can I love you even against my will?

It’s like I can’t help myself,

Each time I see that beautiful twinkle in your eyes,
Each time I see that dimpled smile of yours,
Each time I hear the sound of your voice,
Or the gentle cadence of your laughter,
I always come undone.
